Western Street Style Guide

Five ways to wear the West, wherever the day takes you.

Western style has always belonged beyond the arena. It shows up in the way a good pair of jeans fits, the leather jacket you reach for every fall, and the boots you’ve worn enough to make your own. For this Westward Four edit, we took five familiar street style looks and gave each one a Western point of view.

Leather & Denim

Start with a chocolate leather jacket, an ivory tee and blue bootcut jeans. A silk scarf at the neck adds polish; a silver buckle and embroidered boots give the look its Western character. It’s an easy outfit for a travel day, a coffee meeting or an afternoon that turns into dinner. Look to Wrangler for denim and Lucchese for boot inspiration.

Prairie Dress

A floral dress feels especially good with the structure of a concho belt and a cowboy hat. Add cream boots and a tooled leather bag to carry the warm tones through the whole look. The result is romantic without feeling precious ready for a market, an outdoor show or a Sunday on the road. Stetson and Justin Boots are natural places to start styling it.

Suede & Silver

The simplest outfit can make the strongest impression. Pair wide leg suede trousers with a crisp white tee, then let an engraved silver buckle do the talking. Brown ankle boots and a roomy suede tote make this one comfortable enough for a full day out. It’s relaxed, considered and easy to repeat.

Leather After Dark

For evening, take the leather jacket into deeper tones. Wear it over a black top and a denim midi skirt, then finish with tall dark boots and a black felt hat. The mix of leather, denim and silver has presence without needing much else. Think Resistol, Wrangler and Lucchese as the starting points for this mood.

Denim & Fringe

A denim jacket with long fringe turns a white tee and jeans into a statement. Keep the rest simple: a tooled crossbody bag, a silver cuff and tan boots. The fringe brings movement, while the denim keeps the outfit grounded. It’s made for walking through town, heading to a concert or arriving at the rodeo in your own style.

The best Western wardrobe is built piece by piece. Find the jeans that fit, care for your boots, and wear the pieces that feel like yours. The West travels with you.
